About me

Greetings. I’m a writer – by habit and by profession. I engage in some aspect of the writing process on a daily basis. Most of the writing I engage in requires some level of research, so I’m also an avid researcher. Because I love to write, I spend an appreciable amount of time on the reading, researching, writing, editing, and proofreading round-a-bout.

My undergraduate degree is in Professional and Technical Writing (PTW) from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). This fall I will begin my journey on UALR’s PTW master’s program – concentrating on Online Writing Instruction (OWI).

While my formal education is in professional and technical writing and editing, my work history is somewhat diverse: I’ve been fortunate to work in two countries, alongside a mix of amazing people: politicians, teachers, students, law enforcement and military personnel, health practitioners, and individuals trying to beat drug and alcohol addiction.

But writing isn’t all I do: I love to be outdoors with nature – wildlife gardening, walking, just being. I’m a songwriter and musician – I joke that my instrument is the pen, and to some extent (depending on the day), my voice.

I appreciate you visiting my website. To learn more about my professional qualifications and experience, please see my curriculum vitae, professional biography, and a list of professional development courses I’ve completed. Additional information can be found on my LinkedIn page, or contact me – I look forward to hearing from you.
